SANTA CLARA MUSEUM

ART FROM THE 15TH TO THE 18TH CENTURY

The Santa Clara Museum is located in the old San Marc Hospital in the city of Gandia, right next to the Serpis River and the old medieval wall. It brings together an important number of works of religious art ranging from the 15th to the 18th century. It is a valuable artistic heritage of the Poor Clare sisters of the Monastery of Santa Clara.

The admirable late medieval architecture of the building includes a large collection of paintings, sculptures, jewelry and works of goldsmithingthat were donated in the past by nobles, dukes and potentates, among them, descendants of the Borgia family, such as Pope Alexandre VI and his great-grandson Saint Francis of Borgia.

< p>The visitor to the Santa Clara Museum will be able to enjoy an unforgettable experience contemplating one of the most important art collections in the Valencian Community.

July and August:

Guided tours:
